I have one of the older printings and the main reason it doesnt get played more often is that the ratio of setup time to play time fells like 50/50. It looks like the base board might mitigate this problem somewhat (the other versions don't have a base board and setup really drags).

I was excited this game came out. Quoridor is a great game. Its simplicity and startegy should make it among classic games. Had my doubts how Pac-man would work.

This to me has the problem of when would I ever actually bring this out. Long Shot: The Dice Game is already a small box game with a small footprint, I get this is so small that it fits in your pocket, but where am I bringing it out. It's sort of what Zee says that there reaches a point that a game is so small that it isn't filling any particular purpose, it's just small for the sake of being small.

The limit at 5 is known from the start so you have to be cautious and clever right away, build in a way you can close expansion at just the right time. The game is surprisingly short on turns so aggressive players who spend their time playing on their opponents’ sides will not have built or protected their own interests. The vulnerability of each player’s position makes for an interesting diplomatic meta.

wouldn't it be much better if the board was modular or somewhat hidden from the start, sdding to the dread? also, it makes no sense the characters are running calmly away, either one dice should be rolled with a 80% chance to "panic" ( running in a random direction) or they automatically run in a random direction which the player can NOT control!!

Another Betrayal game is nigh unplayable - the curse continues.

Much cool if you play and know the concepts first the classic game of "Fox and Geese" to feel the new game.
